The gospel is all about what God in Christ has already accomplished and earned, being transferred to me, through grace faith. I’m being made acceptable to Him, on a gift basis, ONLY, out of his extreme love for me. There is no other way for me to be acceptable to Him except its being transferred to me through grace faith, giving what He earned. In the first place, Christ is the only acceptable sacrifice to God, period. So, somehow I’ve got to be connected to Him. This connection is through His victory being in me, transferred through grace faith, prior to and regardless of my participation. Now that I realize, I am eager to stay in this gift. Only Christ through the gospel is able to change you and me together.
for by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; not of works, that not anyone should boast; Eph. 2:8&9
